Marble crystallization is a chemical-mechanical process that hardens the surface of marble by reacting a specially formulated crystallization compound with the calcium carbonate in the stone under heat and friction. The result is a harder, denser marble surface with a brilliant, deep gloss.
Unlike ordinary polishing, crystallization actually changes the surface properties of the marble — creating a finish that is more resistant to scratching, staining and daily wear. It is the preferred treatment for marble floors in high-traffic areas such as hotel lobbies, shopping centres, and busy residential spaces.

The crystallization process
Four stages to a crystallized marble floor.
Stage 01
Surface Preparation
The marble floor is thoroughly cleaned, and any deep scratches or damage are addressed through grinding and honing before crystallization begins.
Stage 02
Apply Chemical
A professional crystallization compound is applied to the marble surface. This chemical formula is specifically designed to react with calcium carbonate in marble under heat.
Stage 03
Mechanical Polishing
A weighted rotary polishing machine with steel wool pads is used to work the chemical into the marble surface under heat and pressure, triggering the crystallization reaction.
Stage 04
Final Polishing
The crystallized surface is buffed to a brilliant, high-gloss finish — revealing the depth and clarity that only crystallization can produce in marble.
