Post-Construction Floor Care
First-time polishing, protection and handover-grade floor finishing after construction and fit-out.
Talk to Us ↗Post-Construction
Floor care that fits how you operate.
New stone and tile floors almost never leave the site looking their best. They are laid with lippage between tiles, protected with boards and film that leave residue, splashed with paint, grout haze and plaster, and handed over with a flat factory finish rather than a proper site polish. The floor is new but it does not look it.
FloorCarePro does the final floor step before handover: grinding new stone and terrazzo flat, removing construction soiling, polishing to the specified finish, filling joints and pin-holes, applying protective sealer, and — where handover is still weeks away — laying breathable protection so the finished floor survives the rest of the programme.
What you're dealing with
The problems we hear.
New marble / stone laid with visible lippage and only a factory finish
Paint, grout haze, plaster, adhesive and protection-film residue all over the floor
Snagging list flags the floor and handover is at risk
Finished floor keeps getting damaged by trades still working on site
Builder needs one specialist to take the floor from "laid" to "handover-ready"
How we work
Our approach for post-construction.
Level & first-polish
Diamond grinding removes lippage and the factory skin, then honing and polishing to the architect's specified finish across the whole floor.
Construction clean
Paint, grout haze, plaster, adhesive and film residue removed without damaging the new surface.
Joint filling & sealing
Pin-holes and hairline joints slurry-filled during polishing; an impregnating sealer applied so the first spill on site does not stain.
Protection to handover
Breathable board or membrane protection laid over the finished floor so trades still on site do not damage it.
Scheduling & access
Around your hours, not ours.
We work to the construction programme and sequence with the main contractor — floor finishing near the end, after wet trades, with protection reinstated afterwards. A FloorCarePro supervisor coordinates with the site team on access, power, water and the snagging walk. Large sites are staffed to hit the handover date.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions, answered.
When in the programme should floor polishing happen?
Near the end — after all wet trades, ceilings and painting — so the finished surface is not damaged again. We then relay protection over it until handover.
The tiles are laid with uneven edges — can that still be fixed?
Yes. Diamond grinding the whole floor removes lippage and levels it into one continuous surface, which is exactly what a first-time site polish is for.
Can you remove paint and grout haze without marking the new stone?
Yes — construction residue removal is done with methods matched to the surface, and any polishing pass afterwards blends it all out.
